Notice to Connecticut Customers.
We are part of Lynx Design Studio, LLC which includes Lynx Design Studio+ and Shop Madern, from this point forward referred to as “We”. We are committed to complying with the State of Connecticut’s notice and reporting requirements for sales use tax in the state of Connecticut due to no physical or economic nexus. To comply with current notice and reporting requirements, we must comply with the following:
Provide a written notice on all invoices, order forms, sales receipts or similar correspondences, whether in paper or electronic form, to each purchaser at the time of each sale that states:
Connecticut sales tax was not collected on this sale and the purchase is not exempt from Connecticut sales or use tax merely because it is made over the internet or by other remote means, and the State of Connecticut requires purchasers to report all purchases taxable in Connecticut for which no tax was collected by the retailer and pay tax on those purchases.
Provide quarterly reports to the purchaser:
Provide, not later than July 1, 2019, a quarterly notice to each seller to whom such referrer transferred during the previous calendar year a potential purchaser located in Connecticut of sales and use tax obligations:
Provide an annual report to the Connecticut Department of Revenue:
Not later than January 31, of the year following the purchase(s), submit a report electronically to the commissioner that contains the name and address of each seller who received a notice pursuant to this legislation in the immediately preceding calendar year, and the name and address of each seller for which the referrer knows that such seller listed or advertised such seller’s tangible personal property on or in such referrer’s medium, and collected and remitted Connecticut sales and use taxes
